My house!

My house

This is my house. I live right on Springfield Ave in Urbana at 804 W Springfield Ave, Urbana, IL 61801.

My neighbor’s house! (+ the view of their house from my back window).

One time I barked at their dogs from my back window when they were outside and I was in my room and it was night out so I couldn’t see they were outside, but they could see me because my light was on in my room and then they yelled at me.

The union (not 12-1 pm on a weekday).

The union

I try to be kind every day and maintain a positive attitude, but walking into the union and hearing the drone of some person singing on stage with an acoustic guitar makes me want to kill myself and everyone in my vicinity.

My room

My room

This is where I barked at the dogs. I don’t think I’m messy, but I’m very cluttered. I often have all sorts of things on my desk, but I know where everything is.

At the beginning of the year, I saw a therapist for one session because I was having a hard time with my life and I was decorating my room that day and I said, “It’s so hard to decorate your room because everything has to make spatial sense and it’s hard to do something over and over until it makes spatial sense,” and she told me I probably have OCD and she can’t treat me because that’s not what she specializes in. So that was the last time I’ve talked to a therapist except for when they called me for a follow up and I was watching an instagram reel before they called where someone was screaming and it continued playing after I picked up and the lady on the phone asked if I was okay and I laughed and said, “Sorry, yeah.” Either way, it still bothers me the spatial distribution of my posters on my wall. I can make them very even - like where both the top and bottom are parallel to the floor - but the spaces between the posters is what gets to me, and also the variety of textures and shapes on the wall. I believe I need more secondary textures and longer shapes like a scarf to fill in the empty space. It’s a bit too late now because I’m graduating in about a month and a half. I’m not very good at decorating, but my dad is.

Bus stop/church

Bus stop Church

I miss the bus at this bus stop every single time because Google Maps tells me it’s a one minute walk from my house and I leave late and then I miss the bus. A few months ago, somebody crashed their car into it. This is also a church I think.

I was on a walk the other day and I was listening to music and I was approaching the church and then I was like, “Before I get too into my walk, I should go home and marinate my tofu and pee so I can maximize the positivity of this experience,” because it was just so beautiful out. The sky was dusty blue, slowly growing darker as day sunk into night, but the air was still sweet with the warmth of the sun and the coming of spring; a soft breeze brushed over my skin and through my wavy jet-black hair, which I wear down most days. A light jacket graced my delicate frame. I’m so cute and tiny. But when I went home, I marinated the tofu and took a shower and got into bed to watch Bojack Horseman and I never continued the walk. This was yesterday at the time I am writing this.
